A seemingly simple question about RAID that I can't figure out.

So, I've been going insane as I've spent over 2 hours trying to figure out what CABLES to use to connect 8 hard drives to a RAID controller for a RAID 10 array in a desktop computer case (they didn't want a rack mount).

a potential client wants a RAID 10 array in a desktop computer (despite my suggestion an external RAID solution), so I'm trying to figure out what cables I need to connect 8 Western Digital RE WD4001FYYG 4TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SAS 6Gb/s 3.5" Enterprise Internal Hard Drives (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236353)
to something like an intel Intel RS3WC080 PCI-Express 3.0 x8 Low Profile Ready SATA / SAS Controller Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816117426).

It's unclear to me if the WD drives use "SFF-8482" connections or "SFF-8484" connections and how I'd connect it to whatever type of connection that intel card is. What cable do I need? Is the RAID card not the right connection type for the drives I'm looking at? If not, what is?

Please help. The lack of clear documentation for this is astonishing.

SFF-8482 - 29 pin connector that goes to a SAS drive (you still have to provide external power to each of these connectors)

SFF-8484 - 32 pin connector that goes to a raid card or backplane
