Anyone else feel itchy while watching the first act with the cockroaches running all over the dude?

Great movie.

My favorite scene is when they think they got ripped off on the bicycle because it was missing some speeds.

They need to make more movies with that same visual style.

well, Linklater did do Waking Life before he did Scanner Darkly. Scanner was awesome; Waking Life blew chunks, though.

I read the book, then saw the movie, and surprisingly enjoyed the movie. I wish the movie was longer; especially towards the end where he spirals towards permanent brain damage, and I wish they didn't combine the two characters (freck and fabin).

Of course, the movie was time constrained, and still hit on some of the major points, but I thought they left out too much (like the mindless druggies talking about microdot factories and a robot made up of hash makes it all the way up to canada..)

I'm reading the book now, having watched the movie.
God damn, the garbage talk they do while high - I get itches from watching/reading that mind-numbing crap.
