A sad note

I dont get it. I dont mean to be harsh or unfeeling but things like this happen all the time, and no one can care less. But wait, a celebrity is involved and people start to feel sad. WTF is that all about?
 
I admire Julius "Dr. J" Erving as a person and as a basketball player, and I feel sympathy for him and his loss. I could care less about the dope-using son though. There's millions of losers just like him every year that end up dead...... so what?
 
I guess I didn't really make myself clear in my point. What is really sad about this is that anyone's kid would sink this low.
 
Whats so sad about this? He was just another parasitic junkie who was probably selling to other kids and ruining their lives too.

if it were anyone I knew, I would care
celebrities are people we know in a peculiar way
