Oh, and nice Superleggeras. I'm trying to get some Longbeaches for my GTI.. I might be doing the Joey mod soon, and advice?

BTW, did you chip it? It sure sounds like you have enough money :)

What have you done to the car so far? I noticed the Joey-Modded lights and painted valences :)
not too much as there's never enough money.
So far I have CAI, joed modded head lights, DDE Angel eyes, painted valences, wheels you see (18x8 OZ Superleggera), Koni adjustable shocks with Neuspeed race springs, neuspeed 28mm rear sway bar, stainless steel brake lines, upgraded brake pads and rotors, and Milltek catback exhaust. Was gonna get lightweight underdrive pulleys...but people here convinced me otherwise

Haha, I just saw your post in the Vortex :)

Another dubber

awesome! i actually remember looking at your cardomain page once...remember it from the reflection pic. thats one shiny 2.0 you got there!!! and with that high mileage...damn. what do you use?

no i didnt chip it...yet. will do this summer. prolly will go with upsolute. And trust me...money's tight after rent, bills, loans, and gf!! all my mods were done over 2 years.

Joey mod is really simple. I actually did it twice...dont ask why. get a heat gun. makes job a lot easier. heat up the edge, and stick a knife or a screwdriver in there. use multiple knives/screwdrivers as it tends to close back. to cover up my reflector parts, turn signal, and fogs, i used glad press and seal. press it around the outer edge and use a box cutter to cut along the outside of the edge. I think it might be better to use a brush instead of spray paint as I still got a little bit of paint on the inside of my reflectors. if that happens, dip a cotton swab in paint thinner or nail polish remover to get it off right away. put on 3-4 coats. dont use heat gun to dry paint...let it air dry

You can get appriasals from body shops, then do the repairs yourself and pocket the rest (at least you used to could do that)
That is a good looking little car. A car like that is perfect nowdays, with the gas prices and all.

1) Got $900 for a rear bumper when some lady hit me.
2) Bought bondo and actual Ford paint.
3) Fix, spray.
4) Profit, $800

Thanks lady.

haha, I love driving a beater. I wouldn't even have that looked at, i'd just ignore it, replace the light myself from a junkyard if I needed to.

Unless you have Progressive, in which case they might just cancel your policy. Rat bastards. :disgust:

i had half a mind to chase those deer down and beat them with a club!!! but my other half said I should stay and help my friend with his flat. he was following me and lost control too. he slid right and into the grass.

Hood looks fine. Front bumber is just pushed right( as you look at it). Gaps seem fine on the hood from the pics.

Sorry to hear this.

fixed the links b4 u posted. HAH! eat it :p jk
i think i did the right thing by not hitting the deer. hitting a deer might have left my car undriveable. atleast this way its just cosmetic damage (i hope)

you were right. since i didnt hit the deer, its an at-fault collision loss. insurance rate will go up.

estimate of damages is $2500
