OK, thats weird, because a freind of mine just took the Citizenship test, (he was a German Citizen, and lived in Canada), and he was talking about how Canada was a common wealth of the UK.

I don't udnerstand the article, please explain its significance to this matter. If i am wrong please show me.

Let me highlight the relevant part here:

"... formation of the union of the British North America provinces in a federation under the name of Canada on July 1st."

The Commonwealth is a "sidebar" to the UN - a collection of countries united by ideals and principles - it just happens to have been headed up by Queen Elizabeth II. That does not make Canada "part of the UK" - in fact, India is a member of the Commonwealth.

So in conclusion, add Canada, and pay attention in your history classes. 😉
