For some reason the music and images don't synch up properly the first time through, but the second time through everything should work fine....unless you've got a crappy computer :p

It's about 6.5 megs.. I'm probably going to run out of bandwidth so if anyone can host it, please PM me.

I am a shockwave noob, which software did u use to make that slideshow??

GT, I don't think a traditional film camera would work in that situation. Wouldn't that much radition basically ruin any film?

Macromedia director of course. I'm starting to think I should have tried doing it in flash.

Taken from the http://www.uic.com.au link:
"The Chernobyl accident in 1986 was the result of a flawed reactor design that was operated with inadequately trained personnel and without proper regard for safety."

This is only true in the part of inadequately trained personnel. There are a lot of nuclear power plants using the same "flawed soviet reactor design" which are working quite nicely and pass safety inspections by foreign observers with no issues.

It was awesome. Maybe it's in a webarchive somewhere... I had looked to see if the author had an email address listed anywhere, but she didn't.

The design of the RBMK reactor in use at Chernobyl certainly did play a large part in the disaster. One of the largest flaws in the design is the complete lack of a containment structure in case of a catastrophic event. Also large amounts of extremely radioactive graphite were ejected from the core and deposited all around the site by the explosion.

Granted, if you purposely disable enough safety systems you can cause a disaster in any reactor.

Zoologists also brought two American Bisons, but idea to breed them didn't work out and bison male run away. I don't know, if he run from radiation or from his bride, but last time bison has been seen in Belorusia, he heading west and may be he just decided to return to America.

Lol! Smart Bison.

That really is a haunting site.

I believe that upcoming shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. takes place in a post-Chernobyl environment.
