That was my answer. The person who shared the riddle with me insisted that there was a better answer. I spent about ten minutes explaining base 11 but I think he ultimately nodded in agreement just to shut me up.

Can you explain that? Because I don't follow. The most I can see is that he renders Arabic 11 ias Roman numeral Xl. And then . . . what? He physically uses the 6 to cut the the XI in half?

Is is a serrated 6? 😳
