I am unhappy with the small amount of single player maps. and the game randomly crashes on me when there are too many trains/tracks on the map.

I haven't had a lot of crashing issues, but I am definitely less than impressed by the maps. Waaay too small, cities waaay too close together, and time goes by waay too fast. Now someone has posted on the Gamespot forum asking for an integrated ladder so "we can have more intensity in multiplayer." It's the first railroad FPS! Get in there and slice your competition up with a new route for coal to Pittsburgh!

There is also a guy in that forum who has made a few custom maps and the devs had said their is a way to increase map size which should be around for patch #2 according to them. They also said it would be a memory hog 😉

have played with my kids quiet a bit in sandbox.
little hard for him to do it himself though (connect tracks, assign trains/cars, routes etc)
Nice for both of us to play (and a freaking break from Lego Star Wars)

I am getting pissed at the game when it seems I have a lot of trains running around smoothly, then all of a sudden I find a couple way far away from where they are supposed to be running around in circles for no apparent reason.

Which routing difficulty mode are you playing in? Hard will make it worse, although even at medium the AI router finds it hard to handle really large, complex routes.
