Look over the first 10 posts - EVERY SINGLE HIGH CAPACITY NON-IPOD MP3 PLAYER AVAILABLE HAS BEEN RECOMMENDED. I hate Macs but Ipods are nice. Maybe if you weren't such a tool who equated "buying an IPod = I Jack off Better to my Mac", maybe you'd understand. Get a clue.
 
Yes, I am a technology fiend. I own an Ipod, 2 Muvo2 4gb players, and a 40GB Zen NX. Personally, I would choose the Zen or the iPod for the car. They are just a whole lot easier to navigate when you are driving. The Muvo2 is nice and small, and has arguably equal or better sound than the iPod, but the controls are tiny and harder to use while giving it little attention. The new Creative product looks like its even easier to control (the Zen Touch), and it has some of the great style that the iPod has.

Dream on about that one. Highschool = bullshit. Hell I'm in college and at least I know that is still bullshit compared to the real world.

You could have just said you are looking for something that isn't an ipod, and maybe said the battery issue is a concern to you, or something else that is a real problem with ipods. Instead you went on and on about how terrible their COMPUTERS are. While I'm not a mac fan, they do have their place, and have gotten a lot more stable with OSX, much like Microsoft systems got a lot more stable with Windows 2000/XP. Macs do have a market especially with graphic design people.

Anyways, I'd say save up your money so your price range is $250 - $300. Things get a lot better in that price range. The Creative I-Touch looks like a good device, otherwise one of their Zens would be OK. You might want to wait for a coupon or a sale to pop up on the Dell DJ. I got my 20gig Dell DJ for $200 in April. The Dell DJ uses the same interface as the Creative players.

I definately wouldn't get a Sony because they require all of your music to be converted to A-Trac in order for it to play on their players. They also have horrible software.

And btw, that Ipod murder story is fake...

Yeah for real man, the styling on them is amazing, I'd actually like to learn more about mac os so I can get an apple laptop for traveling and stuff (I love my dell, and it is very functional, and I wouldn't get rid of it, but a mac as a secondary would be cool)

I thought iPod was a waste of money until I tried one. Can't go back now, it was worth the premium in price for the features.

All of you Mac haters need to get a Powerbook G4. I've been a PC user for 12 years but as of a few weeks ago I've been converted. The Mac desktops are a tad overpriced but the laptop prices are right there with similar PC laptops. :heart::heart::heart:
