A really good pc building guide?

hi , as in my other threads
i am building a new pc and i was just wondering if there any guides that would help me speed up the putting together of my pc

i dont understand some stuff about thermal paste and the cpu placement
especially for athlon systems..

I bought "upgrading and repairing PC's" form www.upgradingandrepairingpcs.com. Very informative and it included a CD with 2 hour of video on how to build, including sections on AMD processors. best $56 I spent. FWIW

If you're building an AMD system, AMD had some nice PDF files over at their website. I dunno if it's still up...
