We Did Not Die For This - Memorial Day Message From Vietnam Veteran

I'm a Vietnam Veteran and I am ashamed of America's policies under the War Criminal George W. Bush. Although Saddam was a monster, George Bush has become a bigger monster. He just killed over 10,000 innocent Iraqi Civilians and over 150 of our American Children. He is murdering innocent people around the world, even right now, to gain control over their society, resources and markets. Check out any of the media sources from other countries and now America has the reputation that equals Nazi Germany. People fear us, they don't admire and respect us, their media sources show the War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity that American Media sources don't show. I recently had two women who survived the repression of the Communist dictatorship in Poland say that the press there was still way more free and honest and accurate than American media sources are now. Isn't that a disgrace that we have slid so far into fascism and depravity?

Iraq is an occupied country and will be for many years. We are stealing their oil and using the 'rebuilding' to make America's Giant Corporations, like Dick Cheney's Corporation Halburton, rich. No doubt they will be buying our sugar laced genetically altered junk food very soon, and using Microsoft software and Oracle database software to keep count of the billions the new masters steal from the Iraqi people. Our government has came right out and said we will not let them establish their own democracy, they must write some phoney constitution that pleases us, so we can continue to dominate their society in the future. These people (Bush/Cheney/Rick Santorum/General Myers/Dick Gephardt/Dianne Feinstein etc.) are the worst imaginable numbed out zombies, way above even the Nazi's. They are killing for monetary gain, so American Corporations can continue to plunder other society's and make trillions off the backs and resources of the people there. The Democrats and the Republicans are virtually indistinguishable in these matters, they are both controlled by powerful business interests like the corporations of Halburton, ExxonMobil, Microsoft, Texaco, FoxNew's Fascist Owner Rupert Murdock and dozens of other blatant rightwing demagogue's who would murder their mothers and the whole planet to keep the trillions flowing into their pockets.

While at home our civil liberties continue to go down the tubes and people who question Bush's Criminal Gang and their Crimes Against Humanity are labeled 'traitor' and threatened and ostracized and punished for daring to challenge this horrible fascist society America has become.

This is shameful. We'd all better start standing up to these monsters or it's only going to get worse. We are already killing innocent people around the world to keep control over their oil and other resources, and soon we'll be invading other countries to impose our dictatorship on them; Iran, Syria, Libya, and those damn liberals in Canada and France who don't see the holiness of 'America's purpose'..

Already American Citizens are being 'disappeared' under the guise of 'national security'. We have kidnaped overr 350 people from Pakistan alone since the start of the year and are now torturing them in the countries ran by brutual dictatorships that we prop up, like Yemen, Morroco, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and elsewhere.
We have been torturing hundreds of people in Guantanamo Bay for well over a year now, in violation of the Geneva Convention, like our actions in Pakistan and elsewhere.

We support and maintain the Chinese Dictatorship; our Government and Business Corporations are fully 'in bed' with them; indeed they (the Chinese dictators) could not survive without our tacit approval and support; and it's all done so we can maintain access to the chinese markets; we don't care that they summarily execute tens of thousands of their own citizens each year; we're making money, that's the bottom line. While we threaten and posture about the form of communism in Cuba, illegally occupying part of their island, holding a gun to their heads because they resist the full control of American Corporations.

We support dictatorships around the world and foment violence in Africa and South America to further the cause of American control of their natural resources and markets. Like in Nigeria, like in Angola, like in Venezuela right this moment.

Soon the new SS under Attorney General Ashcroft will be knocking on our doors too, that's in the works; many American Citizens have already been brutalized by Ashcroft's StormTroopers; and aren't you bothered that America has went so far downhill into repression at home and oppression and murder worldwide?????

America is sick from within.
We need major changes.
Over 60 million are living in poverty, homeless, hungry and/or malnourished.
Over 3 million in jail (more than dozens of other countries combined).
Now many veterans have been cut off from medical care or other benefits that were promised them for risking their lives to further America's fascism abroad.
Crime is rampant because this is a culture of fear, hatred, cruelty and viciousness. There is nothing loving about our society, it is 250+ million people living alienated and isolated and dying of their own self-induced heart disease and cancers. There is no feeling of community in America, everyone's too selfish and neurotic to allow themselves the personal growth required to call out for natural community and against all the paranoid fear that lies at the core of American Morality.

This is not 'the good life'...far from it!!

Our way of life is poison to the environment and to our very beings, destroying the future for our children and their children.
There is nothing sanctimonious about the American Way of Life; it's become mostly dysfunctional now; and we need sweeping major changes
to every aspect of it; including social, economic and legal.

Invading foreign countries on the pretense of liberating them and then occupying them and continuing to murder their citizens?? We plunder their cultural artifacts and violently alter their society to produce more workers for the soon to come Nike/Kathy Lee Gifford Sweatshops??? Sound familiar??

The 4th Reich has arrived.

It's America!!

Lay down and be duplicitious in these heinous crimes, or at a minimum speak up about how deranged our society has become; i.e.- pass it on: America is sick, America is very sick!! America needs major changes from top to bottom!!

Speak UP!!

I am not quite sure what is worse: the obviously insane ramblings of someone who may or may not be a Vietnam veteran, or the pathetic "Amens" from the anti-government conspiracy theorists here. That rant is like a militiaman's manifesto.

Let's take some excerpts:
"He [President Bush] is murdering innocent people around the world, even right now, to gain control over their society, resources and markets."

"No doubt they will be buying our sugar laced genetically altered junk food very soon, and using Microsoft software and Oracle database software to keep count of the billions the new masters steal from the Iraqi people."

"These people (Bush/Cheney/Rick Santorum/General Myers/Dick Gephardt/Dianne Feinstein etc.) are the worst imaginable numbed out zombies, way above even the Nazi's."

"...in the countries ran by brutual dictatorships that we prop up, like Yemen..."

"We support and maintain the Chinese Dictatorship; our Government and Business Corporations are fully 'in bed' with them..."

"There is nothing sanctimonious about the American Way of Life; it's become mostly dysfunctional now; and we need sweeping major changes to every aspect of it; including social, economic and legal."

"We plunder their cultural artifacts and violently alter their society to produce more workers for the soon to come Nike/Kathy Lee Gifford Sweatshops???"

Nothing new about the detractor either. The Nazis had tons of defenders too.

Well that only leaves about 10 million more Viet Nam vets to quote.. I am willing to bet they dont all agree with these thoughts, nor even a significant minority of them.

Unfortunately there is a lot of truth in that rant.
This Administration does not reflect the concepts
that I fought for this country under in the 60's.

He should run for the democratic ticket. He hates Republicans and the current administration almost as much as Howard Dean and Robert Byrd.

This the same Ron Taylor? link
Sounds enough like him.

unfortunately, i think you missed the entire point of the article. the fact that he is a vietnam vet is supposed to give him slightly more credibility than any of us that have not seen war firsthand, nowhere does it say that this is the general view of all vietnam vets.

I would be happy if he stopped making 8 million threads about why he is angry...

We know you don't like Bush or agree with his actions, got anything relevant to add?

When the Supreme Coup selects a man without character as President and his lack of character is turned into policy, people who understand the difference between the phony and the real and see the damage Bush is doing are going to get enraged. It's helpful and calming to remember that Gore won, not Bush. The damage is the result of just a few small minds who could not believe or trust the American people. Americans, if they aren't artificially scared out of their wits know how to vote. That's why the Administration runs a psychosis machine.

I like the part where Bush feeds off the brains of dead Iraqi children while bathing in the blood of American homeless people. We have to wake up and realize that the mega-demon known as Bush/Cheney/Rick Santorum/General Myers/Dick Gephardt/Dianne Feinstein/Hitler-zilla is rounding up all of our Jews, Gypsies, et al. and systematically gassing them. Hide your children!

I'll file this under Michael Moore, Anne Coulter, or Why I Remember I Don't Suffer From Acute Left Or Right Extremism.:p

A little exxagerated are we? Scale down the severity of what it's saying by 80% and I might be more inclined to agree.

We Did Not Die For This

This I agree with wholeheartedly. We, 58,000 of us, also didn't die to stop the spread of Communism as fed to the American People under the guise of The Domino Theory.

We died to enrich The Military Industrial Complex and further the political aspirations of Lyndon B. Johnson. That's about all.

I realize I'm only addressing one of his many points, but it's a start.

Speaking of English classes - your post should read "...God, there are so many logical fallacies it's boggling..." ;)

(but you got "it's" right, unlike about 97% of the population, so I won't criticise you too much)
