Why do people do this? Freaking talk slow for three freaking minutes and then blurt their telephone number at the end of the message like they just realized they're paying by the millisecond? They aught to have their tongues cut out and stapled to their foreheads as a warning to others to be more considerate.

Me: Hello?
Her: Is Carl there?
Mc: Who's calling?
Her: xxx company.
Me: What is their business?
Her: We're a company.
Me: >_<
Me: You're going to need to give me a bit more information if you don't want to be hung up on.
Her: I'm trying to reach Carl *unintelligable last name*.
Me: Ah. You've got the wrong number. See, my name is similar to Carl and could be heard as such over the phone.

Stupid twat. I've had people calling for me and ask for Carl before.

That's never happened to me before. If it did I wouldn't care because I wouldn't be interested in calling them back anyway.

Unfortunately, calling them back is in my job description.
