In this review, they found the Abit Silutro TI-4200 to be the quietest at 30 DbA. Some time has past, and now I'm ready to buy a video card. I am running a quiet pc, and it is more important that I purchase a quiet video card instead of the latest and greatest. I noticed, however, that the new Abit Silutro TI-4200 AGP 8X uses a different heat-sink fan.

My question is, does anyone know if this fan is as quiet? If not, or if that answer is hard to come by, does anyone have recommendations?

Unless you get OTES diffs are VERY small so I wouldn't get overly hung up on it. If you want quiet try a Rad9000PRO as they can reportedly run stock without a fan, but of course you're pretty far behind GF4TI4200 perf. The Rad9500 should be pretty cool running, a bit of modding or underclocking of any gfx card other than the top of the line ones should enable you to run quieter. Here's some more 4200 roundups ...
