a quick question for the piercing afficionados...

alright, i broke it off with a girl that had some piercing's in her ear and a belly button ring. she had a ring on the upper and lower part of her belly button, which i paid for way back when. it was a $130 for all the piercing and rings and all, and me and her are going through the return each other's possessions phase. she was never my g.f, just a friend *wink*, so i want to ask for the rings back, because thats $130 of my money on her stomach. so my question is, when i get the rings back (and i have no use for them whatsoever), am i able to return them for money or are they going to become non-monetary value mementos? thanks for any and all info that could be shed on this subject.

Just tell her to pay you back for it. I doubt you'll be able to get any money for it.

Most places won't take them back, but you may be able to pawn or Ebay them. I think you should just let her keep 'em...every time she sees them she'll think of you

the split was pretty ugly, so i think im going to get them back sooner or later. thanks for the info though, guess ill hang on to them in case things work back out... once again, thanks a bunch! =)

btw, vadatajs, thats a good idea, but i sincerly doubt im going to get money back. i think if i dont get em back, ill just let it go...

Just let her keep them. Besides, some guy will be hitting on her and talking about those rings and you will know that was your mark you left.... or something like that.

Dude, you GAVE her the stuff, it's not like a tshirt you left at her house or something.

Besides, body jewely is not a resellable item. It would have to be sterilized first and there's no way someone would buy used body jewelry off you.

And what's this crap about asking her to pay you back?? Should I go and ask all my past g/fs to pay me back for every time I've taken them out for dinner? That's the same mindset and it makes absolutely no sense. If you regret spending that money on a girl then don't do it in the first place!
