A question to ATOT.. Should I buy the Iphone 4gb?

So i want a smart phone.. something with wifi, web capable, and that much more.

I was looking at the Nokia E61i from buy.com for 390 (380 with GC). Anyway the 4gb iphone is 299.

My present AT&T bill comes to about 60/mo. Thats with everything. My voice plan is 40 + data + texting..

I can instead keep the voice plan and add teh iphone data plan at 20 and with taxes it will come about the same.

What do you say? Is it worth it? I am only afraid that the Iphone might be easily scratched or what if i drop it. But otherwise i think its a cool device. So what ya say?

Should I get apple care? does that cover accidental drops?

Pros and Cons Of Iphone Vs. Nokia E61i

Iphone Pros:
Cool phone that can surf the web. Possible no use of my web mail / push mail from work.

Cons:
kinda pricey, how reliable is the touch screen. Will it last as long as my ipod / present phone?

E61i Pros:
business apps, push email (work email), compatible word/excel/powerpoint
pretty solid

Cons:
Its huge.

i bought an 8gb iPhone and it fits my need perfectly. I took it with me when I went away for the weekend, found a local pizza place, got the menu from online, then called to order, and got directions to pick it up(all on EDGE, wasn't the fastest, but then again there was only 1/2 bar of signal...nobody else had any service).

And the battery lasted 2 days of heavy use as well. I also watch video on planes, etc, etc. Its basically replaced the laptop i would lug around for weekends or quick trips.

How did you get it for 200. The 4gb is clearanced for 299.99. The E61i is 380. So they are kinda close in price.

I like the idea of websurfing and other stuff. But the fact that if i want it to be a laptop replacement i will need to be able to do push email too. I am going to go to an apple store and pick the brains of those kids there.

I played around once again wth teh Iphone tonight, and i dont think its for me. I like the interface, i love the look of it. However for my present needs and potential future needs i need something that can do more. I may get the iphone later if it can provide me what i want..
