So I just got this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...el-_-Content-_-text-_-

I installed it and put the driver from the cd on and now I have a question. When I load up a game of World of Warcraft my screen will go black for about 10-16 sec. It gets me worried that something is wrong but after that 10-16 sec the game loads up and I can play the game perfectly without any visual problems.

My second problem is that if I alt tab out of the game to either surf the net or change songs on my itunes it takes 10-16 sec for the windws screen to pop up. I never had these problems with my 9800 pro.

Could these issuses I have be driver related? Is it not a good Idea to use the drivers off the disk??? I've tested out my card with dvds, web movies, viewing pics and playing WoW and these *as of now* are the only real problems I have.

I never use drivers off of the manufacturer's CD - then tend to be out of date, sometimes dramatically so. Best to download the drivers directly from AMD/ATi.

Yeah, best thing to do is uninstall any old graphics card drivers (generally ATI's Catalyst or nvidia's forcewarer) and then download the latest version directly from AMD or nvidia.

when I went to add/remove programs I found:

ATI AVIO codec
ATI Catalyst Control
ATI Display Drive
ATI Hydrovision
ATI Report Wizard

I belive that this all came on the disk. Should I delete them all?

Yeah, uninstall them all and then just go with the 8.11 catalyst control center installer.
