A question from my Stats exam... did I get it right?

The question asked this: (not exact wording though)

If a distribution is skewed to the left

a) The mean is larger than the median
b) The mean is less than the median

There were answers C and D as well, but they were obviously wrong.

Anyway, I picked A. The mean is larger than the median.

Me and my friend have a bet going about who get the higher mark, and so far, we seem to think he's ahead of me by 1 question. If I got this one wrong, he'll be ahead by 2 :|

So whats the answer?

Yea its B, if its skewed to the left that means the tail is to the left. And the mean gets pulled out by the outliers but the median doesnt change.
