a question about stuff from newegg

I dont know if this is off topic.
I just bought a new abit ig7-g motherboard from newegg.
It came today and it is not shrinkwrapped... no matter how I look at it from the outside of the box.. it looks like an previousely openned item.

So my question for those who bought from newegg before, arent the motherboard suppose to be shrinkwrapped?

When I buy a new m/b from newegg, it's comes in an anti-static bag and sealed with a piece of yellow sticker.

I bought a retail mb that came in a mb box... of course the mb is in the antistatic bag, but what I am asking is, is the motherboard box suppose to be shrinkwrapped.

Ive never seen the box itself shrinkwrapped.

Generally only stuff that is sold in the retail channel and is put out on the floor where the riff-raff can get their meathooks on it is shrink wrapped. I've never gotten a mobo that was shrink wrapped as they are almost always kept behind the counter. And shrink wrap is very staticy.

I've never purchased a motherboard that was shrinkwrapped on the outside of the box. As long as the contents of the box are complete and operating, don't worry about it.

My Asus P4C800-E, nor anything else I have ordered from NewEgg has been shrinkwrapped. OEM drives were in sealed antistatic bags. I had a question about the support software included with a sealed (clear round seals) Plextor PX-712A DVD-RW drive--the support software came in a Ziplock type bag which worried me. Supposedly, anything returned to NewEgg is sold as refurbished or open container. Sometimes, though, I have wondered about items that I received from NewEgg and ZipZoomFly--especially the retail pack with a Ziplock bag of support software.
