CDC condoms and herpes

The second paragraph in the prevention section.

Genital ulcer diseases can occur in both male and female genital areas that are covered or protected by a latex condom, as well as in areas that are not covered. Correct and consistent use of latex condoms can reduce the risk of genital herpes only when the infected area or site of potential exposure is protected. Since a condom may not cover all infected areas, even correct and consistent use of latex condoms cannot guarantee protection from genital herpes.

Virgin-Whore complex. It's standard guy psychology -- males tend to develop this virgin-whore complex about sex. We want her to have been virginal before us, but be a freak in the sack WITH us. Not gonna happen.

If a grown woman in her thirties wants to sleep around, more power to her. OP already stated he wants to sleep with her. But you have to pick -- either you live in a world where girls will have sex with you on the first date (awesome, right?), or in a world where you don't get to have sex with her. But if a woman happens to be open to sex, which you want, and you want to pursue that, then you lose the right to call her a slut.

If OP wants to date her, great. But don't take advantage of her willingness to have sex, then call her a slut for it. For god's sake, man, havbr some consistency.

Everyone owns their actions, btw. You wanna sleep around, you risk the diseases. And looking clean ain't being clean.

Still, every man should, at some point in his youth, date the girl his mother warned him about. :)

I want to talk sense into her, but I don't know what to say. I mean "slut" has bad connotations, but I can't find my argument against hers. All I wanna do is have sex with her.

Why are you arguing against her if her behavior is exactly what you want?

Just about every girl I've been with has slept with me on the first or second "date".
Most of the time the "date" was made in order to wine, dine then 69.
"Waiting" and "taking your time" with a girl when it comes to sex is boring and in essence saying "I'd like to get to know you better so when I really suck in the sack the first time, you won't be as inclined to dump me".

I find people that have problems with men/women having plenty of sex are very repressed individuals (like 91TTZ).

I'm not repressed, I just prefer a higher quality individual than someone who'd blow you for a McDonald's happy meal.

I've been with my gf for 8 years. I've had plenty of sex. I'm sure that there are people out there who have had sex with hundreds of different anonymous partners in that time frame. I think people like that are filth.

The "quality" of a person is hardly defined by their sexual preferences.
Someone who goes out with the goal of having sex in a night is no less a person than a person who attempts to find a long term mate and waits months to have sex.

You're coming off as someone who is conditioned to judge someone by their sexual activities, wether or not that has anything to do with your 8 year relationship with your gf (with no marriage, she must be pissed ;)) I don't know. But to claim that individuals who go out and have one night stands or have sex on the first "date" and stay together for a small time for a sexual relationship are "filth" is silly.

How come the term 'slut' is only applied to women? By the posts in this thread, every guy who posted fits all the criteria of being a 'slut'. Is it just assumed all guys are 'sluts' and only some women who act like guys are 'sluts'?

That's a society mental view problem.

I don't share it. Guys and girls that sleep around are equally slutty in my view. Yes, most guys are sluts.

The actual behavior of people on this forum is, I would imagine, quite a bit different than their online attitude would suggest :)

Unless someone sleeps with complete strangers on a daily basis, without any care for their own health or safety, I'd hesistate to call anyone a slut. That's a term used in high school by people who don't know any better. Sex is healthy and it's very normal to not wait. If two consenting adults are attracted to each other and want to have sex then there's no reason to wait. Unless you don't have protection....

I never said it was right or wrong. If 2 people want to have sex, and have protection, then go for it. I was just making social comentary on the word 'slut'. And guys too I guess.

This is so very true, but good luck convincing the moral Taliban brigade that posts on ATOT.

They're more like the moral chess club. They never get laid.

Ok, so with all the STDs and such, are condoms enough? I guess not for oral, so do you ask people to get tested first?

If she has sex on first date, do you think she asks?

Wear two condoms.

Double bag? That's the worst advice, ever.

Indeed, I believe it provides no practical actual increase in protection and has an icreased chance of tearing, or so I have heard. I have never double bagged my magnums so I am unfamilar with this.:p

I cared about this sort of thing in high school. Then I grew up and realized people like to have sex. Now I'm just concerned with whether or not I enjoy spending time with someone, not the people she might have enjoyed spending time with in the past.

Grow up.
But it's not in the past. I'm saying I'm gonna have sex with her one day, and a few days later someone else will. Could you deal with that? I don't know if I can. Again, I'm probably leaving out things that would change people's opinions here. I don't wanna go into all of it 2nite.

That would bother me if I was trying to start a relationship. I'd expect anyone I'm with to be faithful in a relationship with me. But if I only planned on sleeping with her once, then I don't think I'd care that much what she did after the fact. I don't really go into those types of situations intending for it to be a one-night thing, though.

Actually, that's the "teknikal" definition of a slut...

A SLUT will fvck anyone but me...

Yes, men can and are sluts too...we just take more pride in it than women do...you treat it like being considered to be a slut is a bad thing or something...but then again, in today's world, with all the nasty STD's, maybe it is...
