A question about Packets ?

Does anyone know how much information a packet holds?

What kind of information? It holds, source ip address, source port, destination ip address, destination port, and plenty of other stuff. As far as how much data it can hold, I think it depends a lot on which protocol you are using.

not to mention the physical network.

For the most part 1500 bytes counting the IP header.
