how can someone buy a book for kids written by a sexual predator? especially one who is a hypocrite by condemning others for being an entertainer in their "sexually bigot" roles?

Not defending O, but was he acutally convicted of anything, or just media attention/rumors based on a lawsuit that was dropped.

Many people, look (hypocritcally) as innocent until proven otherwise. (especially when it is a hero of theirs).

 
the case wasn't dropped, it was settled for a considerable amount of money. i wish that woman wouldn't have sold out and just came out with the evidence

rip, i don't think bbond even bought the book for himself, but i know u bought it for your daughter. can you elaborate as to why you had no quams about purchasing it for her?

The lawsuit did not go to completion via a jury or judge.
It was not thrown out by the legal system.

Settlement seems to equal dropped.

you aren't the only conservative who bought this book for their child, but you are probably the only one i know of off hand on this forum that caused me to ask this question

and to answer a previous question, wherei s the proof that rap music is degrading black society? why did o'reilly protest pepsi because htey had ludacris as their spokesman?

I would just like to mention that books like these have been written before and BETTER.

Before anyone jumps on the O'Reilly pop wagon and buys his advice for teens book, they could simply buy The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families. They could look at the Mary Pipher PhD books for sound advice, too.

May as well give credit where credit is due, and not make much ado about nothing. 😛

The main author of the Book of Psalms was King David.

Do you know what he did?

He committed adultery and sent the woman's husband into battle where he knew he would be killed.

David wasn't an alleged sexual predator, he was a sexual predator.

Yet, for three thousand years, millions of Christians, Jews, and people of other faiths have found comfort and strength in David's words.

Do you think that those who read the Book of Psalms are bad people?
 
i never said you were a bad person for reading o'reilly's book, actually to the contrary rip, i think you're a pretty good guy. i'm just perplexed at how you can support his hypocricy in the sense that he is condemning ludacris, but he has done much worse, or at least, just as much

as far as religion, i see all religions as being flawed because they are written by man

O'Reilly's had a 30 year career in broadcasting. To the best of my knowledge, these are the first allegations of sexual misconduct against him. If he indeed was a "sexual predator", I would expect a history of improper behavior.

Until the allegations are proved, they are just that, allegations.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Wouldn't you want others to do the same for you if you were in this situation?

This is old news. I'm sure it's been discussed here ad infinitum.

Where did you hear that rumor? On the contrary, O'Reilly's lawyer asked a court to compel Mackris to produce the tapes so they could be played publicly.

Here why O'Reilly said he settled:

He told his viewers Thursday night, ?This matter has caused enormous pain, but I had to protect my family, and I did. All I can say to you is please do not believe everything you hear and read.?
 
if there was nothing to the charges, the woman would be in jail.

He is a Hypocrite.

I no longer watch is show.
