I know they're sure to do it.. but how do they verify the age of the person they are shipping to? I was thinking about this cause at www.woot.com they are selling some wine.

It isn't wine, it is Mead.
And it is delivered by an ATF agent who arrests you if you are under age.

oh ok. Mead it is, I don't know the difference 😉 I'm a beer person and haven't even bothered to buy a bottle of wine/mead myself.

They can probably check it against your CC record.

I was thinking this is the method they used but I'm not sure how much debit/credit information was readily available to an online business.

Just as a note...
Thanks to stick-in-the-mud buzzkilling state legislators, wine may only be delivered to the following states:

* California
* Colorado
* Connecticut
* District Of Columbia
* Florida
* Idaho
* Illinois
* Iowa
* Louisiana
* Michigan
* Minnesota
* Missouri
* Nebraska
* Nevada
* New Hampshire
* New Mexico
* New York
* North Carolina
* North Dakota
* Ohio
* Oregon
* South Carolina
* Texas
* Vermont
* Virginia
* Washington
* West Virginia
* Wisconsin
* Wyoming

If your state's not on the list, no wine for you! Get the facts at FreeTheGrapes.org and take it up with your state assemblyperson. Don't worry, we comply with all federal, state, and local laws in providing this wine.

Your profile says you are in Arizona... you can't order it anyways.

Back in the day, my friends and i would call the local beer barn and have them deliver it to my house. We left the SAME note on the door that said, My daughter called, i had to pick her up from dance class, please go around back, there is an enevlope with a 20 in it, keep the change. Thanks man...

Never failed.

I know.. I wasn't worried about ordering it myself cause I'm just about to turn 20 myself.. but I was just wondering what kind of protection they have against people ordered it while underaged.
