A problem with GF2 Ti?

I'm having a strange problem with my video: my GF2 Ti card used to work just fine until it suddenly started producing horisontal strips and flickering on the screen, kinda as if it were picking up some interference from somewhere.

The problem got much worse when I tried a Radeon VE (in this case there were no strips, but just a lot of horizontal trembling), but an old Riva 128 works (almost) fine, with just a little bit of trembling. A GF4 Ti4200 also seems to work fine, but my power supply cant handle it 🙁
I'm pretty sure all four cards are fully functional.

I know its not the sound card, not the case fans, not the power supply, I havent really installed any new hardware in a while, and there are no new electric devices in the apartment either... Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause?

PS. The system is Athlon 1.2, 512M DDR SDRAM, Epox 8K7A (AMD 761).

have you tried lowering resolutions/colour depth?

How old is your monitor? I find the "wavering" effect not uncommon on monitors as they age (especially 5+ years old, but it depends on quality of the monitor to begin with). Try playing around with resolutions and refresh rates to see if you can find one that is fairly stable with whichever graphics card you prefer.

Yes, I have tried changing resolution/color depth, the strips may look superficially different at different refresh rates and resolutions but essentially its all the same.
I have just replaced the monitor under warranty and the situation is still the same. But some cards work with this monitor, and all these cards work fine with an LCD, so i dont think it is the monitor.
