Question for you all-

My miscellaneous hard drive (no operating system installed) recently began accessing itself for no reason. It will make noise/work for a LONG period of time. I have run virus checks, and have defragmented it, but to no avail.

any suggestions?

If you have microsoft office on your primary HD, you need to disable" find fast" in the control panel, otherwise check your background programs.
