What exactly is this supposed to be clearing up?

On a side note, does anyone know how to get into the alaskan pipeline training mission? I completed all of basic and did the MOUT training online and completed it.

I'm talking about the infantry specialized training which is supposed to be available now.

i cant get the game to launch a online game. I go to gamespy, click on the one i want, and Operations boots into the main menu, nothing happens.. If i go to gamespy while Operations is running, it crashes.
 
Dedicated servers currently work. Check out this thread

To sum it up:
Navigate to the System dir of America's Army

Make a copy of Default.ini and rename the copy to hoho.ini

Open hoho.ini and make the following changes:

Find localmap=Entry.aao and change it to localmap=Pipeline.aao (there are a variety of options, look in the map dir for more maps)

Find the line that says ServerActors=UTelnet.TelnetServer and comment it out (add a ; before the line)

Create a batch file in the System directory with the following line: armyops.exe -server ini=hoho.ini

Run the batch file.

Now, this will create a dedicated server which people can (and will, holy fck it fills up fast) join. You can further tweak the hoho.ini file to add modify a variety of settings like maxplayers, listings, etc.

To connect to servers people host, pull down the console and type 'open <ip>'

Create the servers and get people to join!

I thought this was a problem too. Wait. I waited about 1 minute before the screen came up in AA saying "connecting to server"

I beat that MOUT many, many times and never got credit for it. I went to the AA site and it said that so many people are passing it that there are too many tries to log it with their server, so it gets dropped. It says to just keep playing it and eventually your packet will get through. Bah.

Here is a hack that I used to fix it and now I am playing pipeline.

How to play in an online level even though you're "Not qualified"
When you see the message that says ''Not Qualified for play in this level'' (or something to that extent), just press F3 and you'll be allowed to play. This is a bug in the software.

Pass MOUT without having to go through it:

Go to the program directory (Probably C:\Program Files\Army Operations). Go into the 'System' folder, and then into the 'Save'. Now, click on the text file with your name on it. Inside that text file, you will see
1,15,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,

What you need to do is change the first 0 (right after the 15) to a 1. It should look like this:

1,15,1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,

End of hack.

I did this and it worked like a charm. I think later I will have to go back and do MOUT so it does get recorded on the ARMY server so it registers with my account the way it should. But this works for now. 😀
