A post about Rogue Brews

There's a clever little Engilsh style pub in Decatur, they've got some 250+ beers with a huge selection on tap and an entire bar dedicated to Belgian beers. The absolute best beer I've had has to be the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Ale. Fantastic. Unfortunately, since they use fresh ingredients, its shelf life in a bottle must suck because it's no where near as rich a beer as it is straight from the barrel. The pub does a rotation of the brews offered by Rogue so I look forward to trying what they've got next, but man what an awesome beer.

I was Lincoln City, OR a few weeks back and ate at the Rogue pub there. Steamer clams and 2 pints of Imperial IPA....damn tasty!!

The brewery is down on the bayfront in Newport (~20 miles south of Lincoln City). Yah, good stuff (though the time I went there the service was extremely bad, so I haven't been back). Looking at your profile, FYI they have another pub in Issaquah.

Just seems too wierd to me to hear about Rogue Ales being all the way in Georgia. I remember when they were just a little tiny brewpub in the basement of a building in Ashland, OR. And that was just in '95.
And Deschutes beers are so much better than Rogues...
As for IPA, Bridgeport IPA is better than Rogue's Imperial. Here in Portland, just telling the bartender you want an IPA means you expect the Bridgeport.
