I see an urban dictionary entry in the near future.

If I'm not mistaken, "pome" or "po-me" is slang for "Poor me." An idiom used to identify a work that generally originates from an individual of poor (economic and/or educational) upbringing.

See it's like this.

Back in the late 18th century in America there were no rest areas for travelers to stop and go to the bathroom. If you really had to drop a stool you had to do it out in nature. Unfortunately, nature does not provide toilet paper. A few entrepreneurial farmers realized this. What they did was set up stands by the side of the turnpikes and sell corn cobs (after the corn had been eaten away.) They would sell them in packs of three. Two red ones that could be used to wipe yourself with. The white one would be used last and would reveal whether everything had been gotten. If there was a real mess and you were still not clean you could start on another pack.

Hence, the corn hole.

Come my friends and I will tell you a story
Of a tranny on the Internet and his superbad pometry
Who dared to troll all of ATOT
With unflinching displays of retardetery

I can not top his mastery of the lexicon
Or dare to equal his poetic shenanigans
For I am but a humble dweller of these dark tubes
Report this post, while I scratch my pubes

Disaffected little troll,
Abused and rejected
Little troll,
Why are you so sad?
Why are you so mad?

Is it because we find your rymes nonsensical,
And ill-conceived,
Although an oddly entertaining train wreck?
And Mr. Webster says your definitions blow,
And he’d quit spinning if you’d just learn to use spell check.

EDIT: Now I understand ol' Brianmanahan..... there's some serious entertainment in writing terrible POMES!!!!

My pome is pure crap,
And badly written
I happily admit,
Although compared to yours,
Mine barely qualifies as sh….

I’d never dare to write a pome
About cracks in the sidewalk
And hearts made of wood,
Because you’ve massacred the subjects
In a way I never could.

So my cornhole is shut,
Firmly too, by the way,
Now go buy a dictionary
And feel free to forget that old saying
“try another day”.

your attempts at pometry
are endearing at best --
and at worst theyre a hideous
dissonant mess.

your metaphors are metafails,
and your similes dont smile.
its like reading a haiku
that goes on for miles.

i suggest you try a sonnet,
something easy and slow.
look it up on wikipedia
and let me know how that goes.

Okay, this is good enough to prove you're trolling with the previous messes, kiddo.:colbert:

LOL, no kidding! He went from hack poetry to proper use of rhyme and metre.

it was NOT hack poetry! it is free verse, i use a variety of styles and meters to suit my mood. i am a fan of all types of pomes, anything from ee cummings to ts eliot, emily dickinsen to langston hughes.

Bad poets are one of the most painful sorts to deal with. However, unlike the OP, most seem to prefer free prose which is argubly harder to create than his tediously simplistic rhymes.
