i should think Taliban would have been pissed scared, because they would have been an obvious attacker. If it wasnt taliban, who was it. If it was just a bunch of terroists what can you do? - you cant wage war on there country because it wasnt the country who did it. This is just too harsh and complictated.

no terrorists are stupid enough to admit to this one. while bragging about something this successful would feel good, it would mean their total destruction. the end of their agenda.

because they fvcked up and they have gone too far. just like the pearl harbor attack "woke the sleeping giant" and led to America entering the second World War, this unconscionable attack will bring about America's full military might against the terrorist scum that are responsible for this.

of course all those entities with terrorist links are scrambling for cover. they don't want to be standing on ground zero when America strikes back with a vengeance. :|

This was SO well-planned. Its simply incredible. HOW CAN SO MANY PLANES BE HIJACKED AT ONCE???

That's what I was thinking, this probably took years of careful planning, some crazy suicide terrorists and a whole lot of money.

yeah if there where bombs it had to be a huge amount strategically located to bring them down, think of the wtc bombing in 1993, that was a ryder truck full and it took out a bunch of parking lot levels and caused smoke, but no major destruction to the building as a whole, but now they're gone, unbelievable, i was just on the whitestone yesterday and admiring the view of the city

Usually terrorist groups are more than willing to take credit for attacks that they didn't even commit, even when it was against a force far superior, because they know they can slip away. The Taliban is immobile though, so who knows.

Why are we thinking that the Taliban was a likely candidate - sure they have a lousy human rights record and they don't like us much, but they haven't been known to participate in international terrorism?

Just an update, all of lower manhattan is not evacuated. I'm in my building at 88 Greenwich St. and the police are not allowing us to leave the building. I'm on a computer in some office in the lobby and people here are relatively calm. Things almost seem under control outside but it's just so strange looking out to where the towers used to be and not seeing anything...
 
yup the only reason i can see is that they hate us enough that they are happy to kill as many as they can.. any way they can😛 you don't have to admit anything for it to be successful.
 
How come they tell their followers it's good to die for the cause but they hang on to life by hiding and denying.. ???? I should think they would want the honor and just step up and die??
