1 - I worry for all those affected by this tragedy and pray for their safety.
2 - That the US will ended up kicking someone's ass for this but fear that it will not be the proper individuals responsible for these unforgiveable acts. I sadly believe that "due to public outcry" justice may get served on the wrong people.
I do want the responsible parties to "pay" for this but I want to be sure that we "serve justice" on the proper individuals.
It is sad to see that the members of this forum are kind of turning on each other. Doesn't anyone see that this is exactly what terrorists want??? They want us all to live in fear and to turn on one another which could eventually bring our society to a screeching halt.
Please be better human beings than that and rise above this and do what you can to help and do not inflame the situation.
I'm not saying it deifinitly wasnt a terrorist attack. I think that taking into acount the nature of one of the targets, there has to be a little more to it than just terrorists.
Sometimes the only way to save 100000 lives is to destroy 100 innocent ones. Thats why they will probably shoot down any hijacked planes from now on, even if they are full. That is why some say to kill all the palestinians in palistine territories. They dont mean the americanized legal people living in the US.
<< it is the aniversary of the camp david accords, if it was US terrorism, owuldnt you think that they would have choosen the aniversary of McVeigh's death? >>
Not necessarily. Not if you want to do it right! And apparently whomever planned it, did a good job. . .Fvcking a$$holes!!! I really hope they get caught.
You can't give in to hate. We need time to relieve our tensions and the primal instinct to retaliate. The perpetrators will pay a price but we cannot be of clear mind during all this duress.
its about valuing american lives above all else. lesson is you screw with us, we annihilate you and destroy any point you were trying to make. make the costs too high.
My classes were just cancelled here at ETSU (East Tennessee State University.) Damn terrorists, this is exactly what they want. Widespread panic all across the NATION.
i think to many people are basing there resonse on pure emotion alone. Please everyone listen to the user's who are being reasonable especially p0tempkin i know this is a horrible catastrophe but you must try to be as logical about all of this as possible. Racist comments and bombing the hell out of everything that moves in the Middle East is not going to solve anything.

What? The nature of the targets makes terrorism a more likely answer than a military attack. These are perfect targets for a terrorist attack and the scale of this offensive makes it unlikely it was anything else. Arguably, the nature of this attack dictates that it was a "terrorist attack," even if it didn't come from one of our easily identifiable "terrorist organizations."
Terrorists would go to this scale? That is just silly - we are talking about a group that uses suicide bombers against children.
