Damn that was vicious. They have to be like that though. In the wild just about anything could catch and kill a baby deer. The mother could get away with speed alone, but leaving the baby behind to be lunch does nothing for the deer species, so she's got to act in a way that is rather un-deerlike.

So where the hell is the deer roping cowboy?

Got this in an email a while back. Laughed my ass off. Long but worth it.

Despite the gash in my head, and several large knots where I had cleverly arrested the deer's pell-mell flight by bracing my head against large rocks as it dragged me across the ground, I could still think clearly enough to recognize that I shared some tiny amount of responsibility for the situation we were in. I didn't want the deer to suffer a slow death.

I was crying for a bit...

lol. Are you actually trying to justify this woman's foolishness? lol. I would have spoke to the deer with my gun. Every creature on Earth understands that. Everyone knows this.

You cannot fire a firearm within 500 yards of a residential area or inside the city limits.

I thought you would know this.

Oh. Well then I would have simply walked up and cut the deers head off with my Sadatoshi katana. When you've trained in the Art of the Sword for as long as I have, such things are trivial. Everyone knows this.
