Mine's in a hard drive bay.

I tried the "improvised" mounting thing once upon a time. Managed to destroy a computer just moving it from shelf A to shelf B. Power supply came dismounted and the video card caught it. (Well, the PSU was fine...)

Now, if it the money situation means it comes down to either buying the awesome++ version or the merely awesome version and the proper mounting hardware and accessory package, I go with the latter.

The card has ANTI emi stuff, high quality components...... Its been like this for couple days,, and my CDM run is exactly same whenever I do it.

No, because the sound card is shielded. THe bottom side has no components showing,, its all covered,, you dont see transistor or anything......

I had mine hanging out in my cases floppy area. I ended up screwing it in on just one side after about a year and a half when we moved.
