Nice bokeh. Subject is slightly out of focus though.

The camera literally arrived today. I would liked to have upped the ISO so I could get in one more stop for greater depth of field. After I RTFM and get some practice, I should have something better.

damn, nice camera body...how much did you pay for it? My friend just picked one up too, he's really getting into his photography hobby.

That's not bad at all for 1/5s. Did you handhold that?

I used a tripod. I have a half decent hand held shot of some snapdragons, but DOF is an issue. Reading how program it now.

I would like a view after it has been strained through the little holes on a flyswatter. That would be .

Program, but I'll check out how manual works. I haven't even begun to start. Maybe I'll take a shot of something in manual now.

Yeah, your friend who bitch slaps you when you pick it up for a quick grab shot and forget you were shooting macro the last shot! :p

Make sure you don't turn the big thumb wheel off. The power switch on the 20D is retarded in that it has a setting to disable the main wheel. That should be a custom function or something, and not on the power switch.

Then you just set the mode dial (the one on the left) to M and then use the small dial to select shutter speed and the big one to select f number.
