During a game, is the coach just gonna call out for someone to volunteer hoping they played in HS or college? It'd def be a sight to see if a team had all the QBs on their roster get injured in one game, then have one of their WRs step up as QB.

they used to do it hockey. i think they shoudl do it in Football. that'd be hillarious.

thing is, in a hockey game, the ave die-hard fan is probably a pretty decent hockey player. at least they can skate, are pretty tough, etc.

the ave football fan, however...fatass prolly break their leg climbing out of the crowd and onto the field. hehe.

I think its the cowboys who picked up Washington's QB Isiah Stanback as a WR. Probably make a good emergency QB, fast and has a pretty good arm(for some reason though he can only hit guys while scrambling, maybe he concentrates better?).

There is also a rule about if the third string QB enters the game before the some point, that the 1st string QB can not reenter until like the 4th quarter.

I call total shens on that rule. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Each team is allowed to dress 45 players for each game, plus, a 46th man, providing he is designated as the third quarterback only. If this third quarterback enters the game during the first, second or third quarter, the first and second string quarterbacks are not allowed to return for the rest of the game. If the third quarterback enters during the fourth quarter, the other two quarterbacks may return to the game. This is a special rule that was put in about 10 years ago, and gives each team an insurance policy for quarterback injury.

he isn't that great of a QB or he would have tried to be drafted as one instead of going WR from the beginning of the process.

his athleticism was too much for qb... could use that jumping, speed, power for route running and catching balls and blocking

I see. So it's optional, but everybody does it.

The rule was something along the lines of if you get down to your 3rd string QB during a game and you bring the first stringer back in he must finish out the game.
