A "standard" cubit is 18 inches, but in reality the cubit was usually measured by the length of the arm of whomever was king at the time.

No sh!t, it's been raining almost constantly where I live. My dog hates staying inside, but I hate brushing the mud out of her long fur each time she comes in.
