NOAM CHOMSKY wrote an entire book on this principle. Yeah, the guy who graduated from University of Pennsylvania with PhD in Linguistics and wrote the textbooks that psychology students read today. Oh yeah that guy's name is NOAM CHOMSKY. He's currently the head of the Philosophy and Linguistics department at MIT (retired to part time recently?). The book he wrote is called MANUFACTURING CONSENT: THE POLITICAL IDEALOGY OF THE MASS MEDIA. If you like MATH and politics, this is the book for you.

I'm serious for once. If I know anything about anything, it is math. If I know anything about math, you should read the first 100 pages of this book. It's mind blowing.
