what you can do is if your phone was off... go take out everything and gut it. soak it under water and let it dry in the sun. after youre done drying, test to see if it works. ive done this on occassion and its worked all the time.

if not, i have a broken nokia 3390. the only thing broken is the LCD. its cracked. just get a new one and youll be set. ill sell you it for $10.00 shipped.

I appreciate the offer but this has to be replaced ASAP in the morning, work has to be able to reach me 24/7.

What phone do you Tmobil folks like anyway ? I'm sick of killing Nokia 3390,I need something different for my next drowning victim 🙂

Don't thank me just yet,it occurs to me that the biggest loss and PITA is the loss of the data on my simm card,I'm thinking of getting one of the phone integrated PDA's,at least then all my contact info,my email addies,messages and such can be backed up onto my PC 🙂

Woot? I allways get two simm cards/ copy all my info to phones memory, and then make 2 identical simms... this way none of the important numbers/data gets lost if I screw something up. (ie. pour some Pepsi on it?). I just get new phone, but in the copied simm... rock!

Just got back from my local Tmobil distro center... lol, the same dude that helped last time I broke my phone was there again.. it was shall we say embarrassing 😱


I was looking at the fancier phones...lol, he said he couldn't sell me one,he had all the other guys there teasing me about being on Nokia's most wanted phone killer's list !!


However,he did give me a free Tweety Face plate, he even went down stairs and hunted till he found the very last one they had in stock for me 🙂 I'll post a pic of my new phone later, I love Tweety 🙂

You can get the phones, you just cant get them from a Tmobile store. You can dial 611 on your Tmobile, talk to a customer service agent, and ask for the HandSet Upgrade department. The prices aren't great, but the phones are available there. The discount applies with how long you have been with Voicestream/Tmobile. You could also try eBay for some of the phones or Chinatown if you are in a major city.

This is the best forums I have found for cell phone information (all carriers). I am surprised your phone is broken. I dropped my phone in a bathdub while full, and I dropped my 3390 at least 10x times (onto asphalt mind you) on Saturday when I was drunk ... my phone just keeps on working 🙂

But I hear you about wanting a new phone, I wouldnt mind a new one, but that $$$ should pay for other peoples xmas gifts before I spend it on myself 😱

If you lose or break a SmartPhone, it will cost you another $500 for another one. I don't think that's worth the contacts. Maybe it is...
