A modest proposal for forum improvement

Folks like to link to the 8 reasons for 16 ways to show 24 objects of our heart's desire. That's all well and good. Inevitabily the link is to a slideshow with eighty eleven scripts running with fourteen cookies per script.

My proposal:
When linking to said slideshows the OP must provide the complete list of listed items in listed format as a list in the OP post. Failure to do so shall place the OP among the sad-fated ten thousand.
 
upvotes and downvotes would be way cooler

i should write a browser plugin and web service that adds upvoting and downvoting to ATOT

who would vote for that?
 
Would be cool if we had a little corner clickable pop-up, ala Slickdeals, when one of our messages were quoted.

In fact, all hail Slickdeals and their forum software. Although they also likely have an army of hamsters.
 
Everyone whining in this thread about list nonsense just got added to my list of 10,000. Only 9,992 more spots to fill.

Community ignore list would be better.
If you get added to n ignore lists you go on the community ignore list and your posts get ignored by default.
