A mirror for the web

Hi there!

I’m a humble writer who asked for permission to use some photos of this web for a book about 3dfx. When the permission expired, I removed them, but they were very helpful in completing my four-book series on graphics cards.

I’m writing here because I just noticed that part of the website has been taken down. Would it be possible to preserve a mirror of all that great content? Losing that information would be like losing part of history. I offer to host a mirror without ads and cover the bandwidth costs out of my own pocket.

Thank you for everything.

PS. I emailed Ryan in Twitter and email, but the email was gone.

This site is more or less on life support, your best bet is to try to source out images from other sites. Although to avoid having to deal with licensing etc I would just post in the forum see if anyone has the product you need and see if someone is willing to take a picture and let you use it.

Is your book "The legacy of 3dfx"? Are there other books too?

I owned the Voodoo3 3000 AGP. The fastest thing I had before that was SiS integrated graphics so yeah, it was like being introduced to a whole new world. It was a deep, deep regret not to be able to afford the latter series. However, I did manage to upgrade to the Geforce 2 MX 400 which was a great upgrade (minus the Glide loss). I wish that I could've kept the V3000. It was fanless but the heatsink got hot enough to burn on touch.
