Are they preparing something special? I haven't even seen BETA leaks for a long time. Anyone know if something special is coming?

traditionally they've gone a long time between releases (whql ones anyway), but yeah the lack of beta's is intriguing.

I'd like a speed boost for my 6600GT but suspect the chances of that are very slim now :(

Forceware v81.98 will probably be released soon. A new directory appeared on the nVidia ftp. I expect it to come out before Thursday (Cat v5.13 is due Thurs, h264 decode acceleration). Go go ATI/nVidia rivalry

Note: This is just my guess :p

They've released a handful of them all at once maybe a month ago, so I'm not about to complain. But I've noticed the silence, too.

H264+video quality enhance would be great... and free Purevideo decoder would be superb LOL (stop dreaming XD)

Maybe somebody beat some sense into the dolts of the driver department and they stop the driver revision/beta madness after all? Ah well, one can dream...

I'm happy with my Nvidia drivers...no need for me to change all the time.

And no shadow problems for me :p

I want new features for video, more performance if possible and shadow issues solved. Is it that difficult?:p

Errr....

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.95.html

WHQL, dated 9 days ago?

And almost a month w/o new drivers. I'm not complaining (by the way I hate Nvidia's WHQL drivers, they worse than non WHQL almost always), but saying this is not ussual and that they might have all the driver developing team working for a feature upgrade driver set. But that's only speculation ;)

what's the big problem with OC'ing 6600gt? Mine is at @570/1.12 on a regulr basis with gigabyte's ****** stock fan, I'm sure I can push it further if I really want to, but getting an extra ~15% out of my card without any effort is already good enough for me.

i'm at 575/1.145 but it gets hot (esp since it's summer here and we've got no AC)...

You must REALLY hate ATI- it's been 10 days for them!

If you want new NF4 drivers, use the 6.82s....they work on any NF4 (I'm running them on a BFG NF4 Ultra) They work like a charm (I'm NOT touching NAM though!)

Stupid Dynamic Stencil Texture optimization....STUPID DST messing up shadows! At least let us disable it!
