It doesn't really matter how much faster the Kaveri GPU is since it still doesn't produce the performance that is anywhere near desirable for anyone trying to do a decent amount of gaming on their computer. This is the problem with APUs and the reason why they sell poorly: the iGPU's greater speed doesn't make a difference for Joe Average who just watches Youtube and checks facebook, but the iGPU is far, far too slow for anyone trying to play games from this decade.

Yeap,

That's the driver listed in their latest APU test, 19-20 months old software while AMD gets the benefit of the latest and greatest 16.7.3.
Well... Your theory collapses flat on its face. Explain this:

Everyone had their sweet time to optimize drivers for this 10yr+ old game. Strange, the results resemble current games.

This is how Intel's recent iGPUs compare to the competition without crippled drivers:

Ouch, quite a bit different from GameGPU's misleading tests, where a 6700K's HD 530 (faster than Core i3's) is half as fast as A10-7870K's iGPU.

Yet for some reason you think it's completely fair to compare Broadwell/Skylake using very old drivers without proper support (January 2015?) to Kaveri using updated drivers, just because it suits your agenda.

For a 10 year old game though?

I was wondering about Doom 2016, and apparently Intel has updated the driver enough for it to be playable on the 580 (Skylake NUC): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLTpkSOBXHE. It's a little bit studdery, but it does manage to maintain 25-35 fps, this on 768 High. Seems like that would be competitive but I have a feeling they it's because the AMD APUs are really badly CPU limited. I wonder what the AMD APUs would do under Vulkan?

Well another reason why GameGPU APU tests can't be taken seriously. Just look at their Worlds of Tanks scores on Intel iGPUs compared to the ones I posted (both 1080p Medium) - half the framerate.
