Well..sorry for making another topic similar to the others, but I really needed an answer (Been trying to figure out about the PSU for 2-3 days).
Its my first time building a comp and I was going for something somewhat cheap/upgradeable..

Specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ 90nm (65W)
Motherboard: ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe (790FX, SB600 Chipsets)
Hard Drive: Hitachi Deskstar 500GB 3.5" SATAII 7200rpm 16MB
CD/DvDRW: LG GSA-H55N IDE Black 20x
RAM: OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz Platinum XTC Revision 2. 2GB (2x1024MB)
VideoCard: ASUS EAH3650 (ATI Radeon HD 3650 Chipset) 512MB
Case: Most likely the Antec Three Hundred (It fits Standard ATX motherboards correct?)
Powersupply: Not sure about this...but here are my choices:
OCZ StealthXStream 500W Power Supply Or
Thermaltake PurePower W0100RU - ATX 500W Power Supply
I can also go for the 600W OCZ StealthXStream if 500W isnt enough.

I know the processor isnt that great, but it'll give me a better boost then nothing for now.
The graphic card I might update later on. This PC which I plan on build is probably gonna get upgraded in the future..

Forgot to add, I may overclock the CPU (Friend got it to 3.5Ghz on air, with a 350W PSU)

Thanks for your help Anandtech.

In my opinion, you only need something like an Antec Earthwatts 430W and you should be perfectly fine. If you do overclock extensively, you will most likely want a Corsair VX450.

No. Thermaltake TR2s suck for overclocking (I've had experience with the 470W unit and it was freezing up and shit all the time on my 3200+ - problems went away when I tried again on another PSU).

I think it's because the TR2s are based on older designs that didn't put out much +12v but put out more 3.3v and 5v. So, they are decent units for older systems such as socket A, but not good for new PCIe systems with modern video cards.
