A little Help pls

Hi how you guys doing ?? Well I have a little problem. I just built my new computer (first build) it started up fine and I got my OS installed W2k pro. I started installing the drivers and stuff when on one of the restarts windows wouldn?t restart. It comes up to the system config screen and stops. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be ??/ ohh and a solution would be helpful.

Yes I have tried restarting my computer several times and I also tried getting it to boot up from the windows disk. If anyone needs anymore information be better able to help me out with this just ask. Thanks in advance for those of you who take the time to help me out.

Were you connected to the internet and was there sufficient protective software installed?

I had installed norton as soon as i connected to the internet.

You mean starting up with the 2k disk right ?? yea i tried it but i wont read it apparently cuz it still goes to the system config screen. by the way i set the boot order to cd first when i tried this.

You could always try reformatting and starting over... :\

the only way i know to reformat is using the windows disk which the computer wont read. Is there another way to do this that im not aware of ??

Make a Win98 boot floppy. Should be enough to boot from and format the hard drive.

i found out the problem. it was the overclocking utility that i had installed. it was set to 10% overclock and was causing the computer to hang. i turned it down from the bios and it worked.
