A Little Fun With Autoexec.bat

I want to have a file small (burp.exe -- this program randomly outputs a "belch" through the speakers) "load" into the computer when the machine is fired up without the user knowing. The program itself is harmless but doesn't show up in the system tray.

Question is: How do I get the program to automatically run when the computer is booted -- I assume I have to put a line in the autoexec.bat file with some sort of pointer to the program?

Can someone tell me how top do this? What is the proper formatting? Believe it or not, I turn 30 in July

create a batch file call it whatever u want.
just put the path and filename u want in the batch file and stick it on the startup menu.

in the batch file use

"c:\windows\burp.exe"

you don't want to put it in your autoexec.bat that's for DOS

you put it in the Start Menu/Programs/Startup

or there is a line in Win.ini I believe (might be System.ini)
load=program1.exe,program2.exe,program3.exe

etc
just add a ,c:\wherever\burp.exe to the end of that line.

Create a shortcut and drop it in your startup folder on the start menu is perhaps another way....

Just the .exe name in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run part of the registry.
