That's been her claim, but I have a feeling that the 2016 Democratic pool will look a little like the 2012 Republican one, and she'll enter the race after Democrats beg her to.
I always wondered if she ever wanted to be POTUS in the first place, or if Bill was pushing her into it.

Biden is now too old and he is a little like Newt, in the Biden has a new idea everyday which does not help him stay on script.

I think, if Obama chooses a new running mate, Biden will make it clear it was his idea. And someone with a good governmental and consumer record will be found be they a males or female. As for Hillary, after the election, she will likely join her husband in the Clinton foundation.

But then again, my post can be lumped in with all the partisan politics we have too much of.

Has anyone else heard this rumor? The source implied that it was Obama that did not want Biden, or at least wanted someone else in his place.

Yeah.

I've heard (Dem) talking heads speak of it. But I think they were just speculating. They were mentioning Hillary as VP to make the ticket stronger.

Yeah, I've heard those speculations before as well. The bird did not mention anything about that though.

The specific wording was that Biden will not be the running mate for 2012, and that possibly it is because Obama is not happy with Biden. All of it was framed as unsubstantiated awaiting confirmation. 100% rumor at this point. That is why I decided to ask here to see if anyone else has heard these 'rumblings.' Google search turns up nothing.

I can also point out FDR changed VP's in each and every of his 4 elections, and it did not hurt FDR politically in any of his switches.

Biden is one of the few people capable of making Obama look smart

Luckily several others who do the same are all Republicans running for his job.

Seriously, calling Obama dumb doesn't work not only because it goes against the narrative but because it's demonstrably and obviously untrue. Stick to "elitist" or whatever, you have more fertile ground there.

Bump to say another little bird told me Romney is persuing Condi Rice for running mate.

Again, rumor at this point so take with grain of salt.

We need some hotness in the Oval Office.

notice how the Repubs are going first?
Gives Pres. Obama the option of an 'October Surprise' (be it a month early) if the campaign feels the need to replace Biden. we won't now for sure until Sept 4 or 5
if Romney goes for a female VP, and the polls are not in Obama's favor, i would not be surprised by a Biden replacement strategy

August 27–30, 2012: 2012 Republican National Convention to be held in Tampa, Florida
September 3–6, 2012: 2012 Democratic National Convention to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina

We know for sure now. Biden is not going anywhere.

Respectfully, reading that an anonymous poster on the Internet says that an unnamed "little bird" has told him this might happen is not really enough to justify much discussion.

That being said, I would be surprised if this occurs. It seems to me the political blowback of being perceived as desperate would outweigh whatever benefit the President might obtain from making a switch. In any case, if it does happen I would expect it would happen well before the DNC. We shall see . . .

I can't see Obama wanting this change. Biden is one of the few people capable of making Obama look smart, plus he is perfect anti-assassination insurance.

Yep, no one wants Biden in the oval office regardless of what we have now....

I seriously doubt that. He needs the latino vote more. But Rubio's less than glowing comments don't have me convinced that he'd get asked.

The only problem with Hillary in 4 years would be her age. She'd be 69 years old when she took office at that point, making her as old as Reagan was when he was inaugurated. That is scary.

Thought about that. She's getting a bit fat too. Not fair, but politics isn't.

I still have a hard time seeing her walk away from it when she was this ][ close to the oval office and being the 1st woman president.

Given her popularity, no obvious Dem successor to Obama, and the weakness of the GOP field, it would be hard not to make one last run.

Some media person somewhere made a good point that her going off to the Clinton foundation would be a great place to raise money and network and get ready for another run.

It's unlikely anyone would care. Obama could choose Snookie as his running mate and the GOP still wouldn't be able to beat him in November.

That's because Snookie would be an improvement over Biden.

Biden will be the VP running mate come this fall.

I feel like "political" picks to appeal to a certain state or demographic have pretty much never worked in any modern Presidential election.
