I don't know. Does it have what sounds like aircraft engine noises and radio chatter at the beginning? The guy we got it from, another friend of ours, told us it was some kind of russian air force patriotic song.
 
The artist is an Indian singer, Daler Mehndi, and this style of music is called bhangra/punjabi pop. It is a Punjabi style of music. I guess musically it is akin to some of the simpler rap music that came out during the middle to late 90's. Surprisingly, this guy must have about 500 million to a billion fans throughout India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South East Asia, and the Middle East.
