I paid $2200 for essentially the same set in the fall of 2005 (actually a marginally inferior one - the newer ones have more inputs). What a world! FWIW I love mine and would buy it again.

uh i paid 3400 for my dlp w/ insurance in 2005 😛 .... 50" very reliable sammys are. Just don't buy store insurance....ever....

Summer 2006, I paid $1,966 for my Toshiba 50" DLP, tv stand, and 3 year extended warranty.
