I used to live in Albany and yeah it is not a big city. They do have 24 hour gas stations though. You could have even driven to the rest stops on the thruway, which is near the airport. Albany isn't exactly a rural town in th 1920's where people marvel at the automobile.

the only 24 hr stations are on the opposite side of the city but i was on the northway not the thruway. and the sunoco that's across from UAlbany was closed this morning due to loss of power

but thank you for the non-hick statement, you get a :cookie:

OP should DIAF IMO. /thread

i'll take that into consideration as i attempt to move my car thats blocked in behind hers and blow up in a fiery ball of flame.

Well i'm sorry, that may have been a little uncalled for on my part and a little harsh. But seriously man. . .why didn't you fill up the car on the way home after you dropped her at the airport? I mean. . .how long are you gonna be using it while she's away? Assuming it's going to be long enough that you will be the one using whatever gas you put in it, why should it be a problem?

well at 5:30 in the morning, there aren't many gas stations open around here...there's only two and they are on the opposite side of the city.

And you say you're not a hick..wtf do you live that gas stations aren't open at 5:30?

LMAO that's exactly what I was going to say. And even if they aren't "open" at 5:30 in the morning, you can always pay with a credit card at the pump 24/7 ...

oh wait a minute, you are probably exactly 16 years old and don't have a credit card yet.

Since he drives her to an airport, I calls shens on gas stations not open at 5:30 am. More than likely, he rushes home so he can get his lazy ass some more sleep times.

and yea i did go home to get more sleep because pumps are turned off here @ 5:30 unless it's a 24/7 station., and i happen to work 2 jobs 9a-4p and 5p-11p. please forgive me for working at a hospital and the district attorney's office, what was i thinking for being such a lazy wanker.

Kinda weird how you were at an airport without a gas station though. All the ones I've been too always had at least one station nearby for all the people driving in and out for early/late flights.

I have to agree with the gas part if you were going that way. The northway does have gas stations but they are so far apart, it isn't worth the risk runningout of gas. I might have taken the chance going downtown or in the seedy parts of Albany (the capital area included) and hoping I don't run empty there.

Good luck moving her vehicle.

How do you have a dead Honda Civic blocking your car in? Did it run out of gas at the precise moment you pulled in the driveway?

You whine a lot.

Sorry Mopho, but you can just shift your sisters car into Neutral and let it roll down your hill. Make sure the power steering is on and you can DEFINTELY navigate the car. Don't tell me there are cars on both sides because even so you can use your brakes and the steering wheel to move to the car.

peace.

edit: are you sure the Sunoco right by the airport was closed? How about the Hess that's on Wolf Rd?

Dear Sister,

Thanks for understanding that since my car has no a/c, a messed up passenger side window, shakes when i go to brake, and lending me your car for the weekend. However, next time I do drive you to the airport at 5:30 in the morning when i don't need to be up until 9, I'd appreciate it if you could show a little common courtesy towards me. What common courtesy? Maybe not leaving the gas tank on E with the gas light on so after i get back from the airport, it doesn't start up. Oh, and the Paris Hilton CD you left in there playing? I threw it out of the window on the highway. Remember, mom or dad could've brought you to the airport and I would've been driving your car anyways this weekend. It was only you waking me up at 5:30 that prevented this. Well, again thanks for the big "fvck you" and hope you have a nice time visiting my brother-in-law down there in Texas.

P.S. Thanks for not changing the oil in 8,000 miles. That was a nice touch.

for the ATOTers: No pics. she's my sister so even though im pissed at her right now, i will not allow her to become a wet dream for you guys 😛

If I understand correctly she:

a) Didn't give you free gas
b) Left her taste of music
c) Doesn't do maintenence on her car

From this, you decided to:

a) Rant at her
b) Destroy her property

?? Nice.

lol...i don't think there is 1 reply in this thread in which somebody agrees with OP.
"Worst rant EVER!"-comicbook guy

and OP, seriously, you drove it home from the airport and ran it out of gas. fill it up yourself. you expected to drive her car around and use her gas the whole time?

That's exactly what I was thinking. Near my house, I only know of 1 or 2 stations that aren't 24 hours. Within a couple of miles, I bet I could find at least a dozen stations, btw.

Quit blaming other people for your own mistakes. Go buy her a new cd, you ungrateful whiner. Personally, I wouldn't want to be caught dead buying a Paris Hilton cd, but then, again, I wouldn't be so childish as to throw out someone else's belongings either.

I agreed with the gas part 🙂 He kinda clarified that he was on the Northway, where finding gas stations can be difficult when you are near empty.

It seems like he did try to get gas near the University but they had no electricity to run the pumps.

i'm not saying she should've put a FULL tank in the car, but to have me drive her to the airport in her car because she doesnt like mine when she knew it was low at 5:30am was a b!tch thing to do. She could have stopped and put in 3 dollars for 1 more gallon on her way home and it wouldn't have been an issue.

Fill her tank, change her oil, buy her a new cd, and when you pick her up at the airport when she gets home, tell her you love her. She's your sister.
