A guy commits murder. He's caught on camera. He has an identical twin, who is innocent

JEDI

Lifer
Both twins were in their apt/house alone. noone saw them and neither has an alibi. The innocent twin knows nothing, and is completely innocent.

How does the DA prove which twin committed the crime?

edit:
THe person that was murdered was not the brother.

wtf? what part of "neither has an alibi" do you not understand?!?

Do the twins live together or separate?
do they live close to each other?
If they don't live together, then there will be genetic markers of the victim in ONE of the twin's apartment. The perp ALWAYS screws up and leaves trace residue somewhere.

They arrest the surviving twin as he is the murderer. What do I win?

Everyone knows that doesn't work all the time which is why the lie detector isn't 100% accurate either. Nervousness, someone good at controlling their breathing/heartbeat and many other things.

Keep them in two separate rooms, and ask them. What were you doing? What was your twin doing?

The innocent twin wont know squat

Ask them to detail their life on the day of murder.

Wait 30 days.

Ask them to detail their life again on day of murder.

What about Siamese twins? One side decides to go on a murdering spree. What happens then?

murder and accessory to murder.... 50 years to life for both sides.

Make them fight each other to the death. The evil twin will actually try to kill the other, as he's a murderer. If he kills the other twin, you've got your killer....

Simple: Arrest the one with the goatee.

If you're lucky, it'll be a fainting goatee so he'll be easy to catch.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

This seems like a riddle, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone could clear this up for me.

Serious question: Are fingerprints on identical twins the same?

Reminds me of that joke about the CIA agent handed a gun and told that he has to go into a room and kill someone as his final test.

He opens the door to find his wife. After a bunch of screaming and yelling and some smashing noises he comes out and tells them. "You didn't tell me the gun was loaded with blanks, I had to beat her to death"

Identical twins are almost never completely identical.

They would most likely have different hair cuts, or tans or wear different clothes. The only time we see adult twins who look 100% alike is when they are TV and made to look alike for dramatic effect.

What about Hayley Mills?
