So please stop being so overtly sexual with me, & PLEASE stop flirting with me or offering me massages, and also stop complimenting me on my flat stomach, because I just can't handle it."

but if he said hey chocolate pounding, a$$ munching ***, you say one more thing to me and i will kick your sissy a$$, i bet that would be offensive right? so who is the 'cowardly little b1tch'?

It can be done politely.

In that case, please STFU about your girlfriend, your kids, and your family while you are at work, because I really don't want to have hear about it.**

tec699 is the cowardly little b1tch for not having the balls to raise his concerns with this co-worker, but rather go running to the boss. It can be done politely.

i agree that he should confront the guy and not go to the boss unless absolutely necessary. as far as the "please STFU about your girlfriend, your kids, and your family while you are at work", i know you realize that heterosexuality is the 'norm' so that argument is bs.

I dont understand that... sorry.

he is a whiny cowardly little btich because he is uncomfortable being hit on?

since when do you run to the boss over something a co worker is doing (without speaking to that co-worker first)?

and from what he has described he is not "being hit on" (other than, possibly, in his imagination)

who knows what could happen in a confrontation. the best that can happen is a 'he said/he said' situation if it blows up.

Going to the boss with any issues about a co-worker is a CYA move.

i must have missed this inside joke, origin?
I tried to find the thread, but I guess it has been deleted?

The joke is in reference to a member who let someone borrow his Star Wars DVDs, and after not receiving them back for a very long time and even then realizing that only 2 out of 3 DVDs had been returned, confronted the individual at the workplace (they were co-workers) and apparently once or more punches were delivered to the facial region of said borrower.

And then the OP said he made up most of the story and it was all lies and he was proud he deceived evryone.

I agree w/aidanjm that the OP should just talk to the co-worker and settle it. But talking about your family isn't sexual or flirtatious. It may bore you, but it shouldn't offend you.

Yes. But everyone got all butthurt because they don't like having tricks played on them. I thought it was a funny joke.

Complimenting someone on their new goatee or saying "I wish my stomach was as flat as yours" is not sexual or flirtatious, either. Nor is referring to someone as "Papi". It's just making friendly conversation. The OP is uncomfortable because he feels males "shouldn't" say things like that to another male. But in fact, there may be no impropriety there.

Talking about your family is imposing your heterosexual life style on me in the work place, and I do not appreciate that. Just keep your mouth shut if you can't think of anything more appropriate to talk about.**

Complimenting someone on their new facial hair or saying "I wish my stomach was as flat as yours" is not sexual or flirtatious, either. Nor is referring to someone as "Papi". Really, it's just being friendly. The OP feels uncomfortable because he feels males "shouldn't" say things like that. But in fact, there is no impropriety there. This situation stems from the OP's neurotic hangups about how males "should" behave.

This would assume that you know the guys intent on saying this to the OP. In any case... whether the guys is coming on to him, or is just being overly friendly... if the OP is uncomfortable about it, he should speak to the bosses.

If a guy said these things to a woman, she would most likely feel uncomfortable with it, especially if it were ongoing. And many ppl would think it is inappropriate for anyone to say to a co-worker in a business environment. Especially repeatedly.

I am trying to take gender and sexual orientation out of this and just looking at it as one worker repeatedly saying these things to another. Is it appropriate for one worker to repeatedly comment on another's body parts, facial hair... offer them massages and call them pet names? I dont think so.

And again, going to the boss about it is a CYA move.

Well, the OP states he also offered a "message" which I assume to mean massage. If a male said it to a female co-worker it would be considered sexual. That's what I was commenting on. I agree complimenting someone shouldn't be punishable or anything, but we don't know the context either.

Regardless, he should just tell the guy if it makes him uncomfortable. I had a guy where I work(I am male/hetero) telling me how much he liked my hair, could he touch it, did I work out, etc. I just laughed it off and told him I didn't go that way. End of story.

Now you're being ridiculous. Talking about your family is called "relating to other human beings" it's not forcing anything on anyone.

It's not poppy it's papi and it's quite common for hispanics to refer to each other like that. When he starts slipping you the 'stinky pinky' then I believe it's time for you to worry.

That's discrimination in America. You can get sued for that pretty easily. Are you heterophobic?

No, moron, sexual orientation is not protected (unlike race, religion, etc.) in most jurisdictions in the USA. I can fire you just because I don't like heterosexuals spreading their filth in the workplace.** Heterophobic? There is no such word, no such condition.
