A group is singular not plural. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a nincompoop.

I'm still trying to figure out when to use "is" or "are" half the time.

There are a lot of members on this board or there is a lot of members on this board.

What I want to know is what meds you are on and how's the rehab going?

Thanks for axing. The hydro had been increased to 10mg every 4-6 hours as needed for pain. My leg is healing quickly, thank God. I keep the leg elevated throughout the day and drink lots of milk. I think that combination has helped.

There is no more swelling and I will have the surgical bandages removed on Wednesday. I am currently using a brace that is meant to keep my leg from bending and its cumbersome, making it difficult to sit down (you can imagine how much fun using the toilet has been).

I now have transient pain in my kneecap and some feeling of pressure when I stand up, but Im trying to use as little pain medication as possible. This is my third surgery in six months and Ive used a fair amount of hydro on and off since then. While I take a minimal amount and well under the limit that would be considered unsafe, I fear prolonged use increases the risk of sudden and permanent hearing loss.

Hopefully by the third week of June I will be out and about doing the things I enjoy. This time with a lot more caution. The feeling of invulnerability and being able to handle any terrain at any speed was empowering but inevitably dangerous. 🙁

In the UK, you can refer to a company or organization as singular or plural. "Nintendo are planning to reveal the successor to the Wii at E3." I know. Stupid, isn't it?

Add to that all of the random vowels that you add to words, and it's no wonder that I can't understand half of brittish people.

Felix would buy the group some time by stopping and explaining our grammatical errors. If y'all were wise enough to make him part of the group anyway.
He'll be the first eaten anyway. Mr. Incredible bikes wrecks and all. Then the raptors will be loopy from the pain meds or constipated from the medical braces he's wearing.

If raptors are as smart as they are purported to be, Im sure they would be fascinated by the topic and would be delighted to offer their input. Nothing like a good conversation after some fine dinning.

(BTW this has to do with a nightmare I had involving time portals, earthquakes and large prehistoric carnivores. It was scurry.)

The grammar question has already been answered, so I just thought I would comment that maybe you should stop watching Primeval right before bed.

without reading the thread, "was" is correct for both. "of us" is a preposition so the verb still goes with "group"
